I Got The Blues

As-Salaam Alaikum,

I absolutely love stripes and my favorite color is Blue, so I thought why not combine the two. Here is my attempt at an ombré blue taped look.

The colors used in this look were SinfulColors Snow Me White, and Morning Star. Essie Butler Please, and Midnight Cami; lastly Nina Ultra Pro in Sailor. I honestly can stop looking at my nails, it really is pretty.

Matte Cartoon Nails

As-Salaam Alaikum,
So I've been dying to try this nail design for a while now. Yesterday I finally got around to doing it. I must say that it came out pretty good, especially for a first attempt.

Sally Hansen- Pacific Blue, Sinful Colors- Black on Black and Snow Me White were the colors I used, along with my trusty Matte Top Coat from NYC. I think the Matte top coat added a nice dimension to it. When I was glossy it didn't look as realistic. Even though it's supposed to be an "unrealistic" cartoon design.
Please ignore the stained nails...That's what I get when I use a bast coat. I hope you guys enjoy these as much as I do.

Please don't forget to leave a comment if you like or don't like what you see. Comments good or not so good are always welcome.

Mr.Candiipants inspired floral brocade. I thought I'd go with simple black and white.

Revlon: Whimsical

Since I'm fairly new to the nail game, I only heard about Whimsical about a month ago, and I've been on the hunt ever since. After searching and searching found it at Albertsons on sale for $2.50. So that made me extremely happy.

Whimsical is a very sheer cream glitter. Almost like a jelly sandwich mani without the use of two polishes. Very soft, airy, light feminine shade. I defiantly see why it's called 'Whimsical'. It is just that.

I also tried pairing it up with two polishes, SinfulColors Morning Star, and China Glaze Sea Spray. I found the Sea Spray made a perfect match. Paired with Whimsical, it looked very true to the bottle color.  But I liked the look of Morning Star because of the bluer tint as opposed the more greyish green tint.
